Ninh Binh Train Station is the main railway station in Ninh Binh, located in Ngo Gia Tu Street, Ninh Binh City. The station was built in 2015, including 2 stories. The first floor is for cargo transportation. The upper floor is the boarding terminal, as well as other facilities like restaurants and coffee shops.
As it conveniently sits in the middle of the North-South railway route, the station helps connect Ninh Binh with other parts of Vietnam from North (Hanoi, Sapa), Central (Hue, Da Nang, etc.) to South (Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang, etc.).
From Ninh Binh Train Station, you could easily travel to the province’s famous attractions, such as Trang An, Hoa Lu, or Bai Dinh Pagoda.

How to get to hotels from Ninh Binh train station
Taxi: The station is surrounded by a variety of taxis. A legitimate taxi might cost about 13,000 vnd (0.4 cents) per kilometer. It’s always advisable to check the distance and confirm the total price with the driver before getting into one to avoid being overcharged.
A better and fairer option is to hail a Grab. This Vietnam “Uber” app allows you to book a ride with fixed prices in advance.
Motorbike Taxi: If you prefer not to spend much on transportation. This unique transportation offers a reasonable rate, only of ~7,000 vnd ~ 0.2 cents per kilometer. Once step out of the terminal, you’ll easily find dozen of locals siting on their motorbike with 2 helmets. Again, check the distance to estimate a fair price. Remember that it could only carry one person and maybe a small piece of luggage.
Private car with your accommodation: Some hotels offer a pick-up service from the train station by private car. It might be slightly more costly than other means (about 350,000 vnd ~ 14 USD per car) but would be well worth a hustle-free ride, especially if you arrive in Ninh Binh in the early morning.
